We like fish is a campaign to promote fish consumption promoted by OP ANACEF and launched in 2022 in collaboration with Princess Hotels.
BECAUSE, WE LOVE REAL FOOD
From the Organisation of Fish Producers OP ANACEF, aware of the nutritional importance, goodness and culinary versatility of the product we catch in West African waters, we launched the campaign “We like fish by ANACEF” with the aim of promoting fish consumption, promoting and generating economic activity in the area and giving consumers access to healthy and wholesome products.
To carry out the promotional campaign, OP ANACEF has the collaboration of Princess Hotels to promote the species caught by the organisation’s vessels such as Patagonian toothfish, forkbeard and red mullet.
As part of the initiative, OP ANACEF is launching the “We like fish” gastronomic competition through which students from hotel and catering training centres in the Canary Islands can submit a recipe based on Patagonian toothfish, forkbeard or red mullet.
The selected recipes will be included in the final act of the competition, where a jury will select the winning chef and recipe, which will become part of the menu of the restaurants of the selected Princess hotels on the islands of Gran Canaria.
After the competition, OP ANACEF will promote the campaign among the guests of Princess Hotels, with the delicious fish-based preparation and the chef who prepared it.
The “We like fish by OP ANACEF” campaign is part of ANACEF’s Production and Marketing Plan (OPP43) and is financed by the FEMP and MAPA.
